The BSI Sustainable Events Competition 2009!
Get a team together and do something about the environment
Green up a school or group event and help save the planet by reducing your school or group’s environmental impact
Go! Take action and win up to £1,500 plus a visit to Old Trafford for your school or group!
After the success of last year’s competition we’re back to challenge all schools and clubs in the UK to make your events more sustainable and stand a chance of winning a fantastic £1,500 prize.
We’re also offering all winners and runners-up a visit to Old Trafford, home of European Champions Manchester United for our prize giving event!
STOP PRESS! New Groups entry category!
This year we’ve introduced a new Groups category so you can make an even bigger impact in saving energy, resources and the planet!
So, if you’re a group leader or if you take part in any out-of-school activities you can also enter this year. Some examples of groups could be:
- The Scouts or Guides
- Sports clubs
- Youth clubs
- Orchestras and choirs
- Theatre groups.
Prizes:
The following prizes are up for grabs: £1,500 to the winning school and club!
PLUS!
£750 to the school/club of the runners up!
£250 for the third place school/club!
Here’s your challenge: pick a school or club event, find some ways to make it sustainable and tell us how you did it. It’s that simple!
You’ll also be doing your bit for the environment. The more schools and clubs that enter, the bigger difference we’ll make. So what are you waiting for?
Get a team, get green, and get going!
